Fordy, There are some guys in the boating industry that have pioneered a new market segment that others may follow. Composing is much more difficult than editing.

I would hold in high regard, to name a few;

Bob Hewes....the Flats boat
Scott Deal of Maverick ....the Bay Boat (pathfinder)
Bill Ratlieff and now Billy Freeman..... the Offshore Center Console Fishing Catamaran

We have performance, and it is remarkable that in a few short years, "Catamaran" and "good looking" are now used in the same sentence!

I am working on Jim..have been for 6 mos...lol..

A 31 x 10 or 10.6 would be a good platform and then we are not competing with anyone directly in the hi-perf cat fishing market..and with a pair of 300's she would be in the 80's....right at the moment Jim is working on getting the next few 39's worked out and then my 39 Quad express boat..

Thank you Bill,

I am ready to hear about you resetting your New York to Bermuda outboard record run which you have held since 2002. That would be raising the bar!

For now, I live vicariously though the exploits of others, at least until my kids are out of the house, because I have all of the adventure I can handle till then!

The T-Top was tied on for Ray to see what it would look like in the water, and then removed to weld the rod holders to the aft legs. Once the T-Top is in place, the wiring will be completed and the GPS antennae on the Top will provide a signal to the Raymarine to provide numbers.
With outboards, 5500rpm is generally within manufacturer recommended WOT range, but in the event that you need to plane on one motor for an extended period of time to get home it might be easier on the motor to have 24's on there, not to mention all the weight you are yet to pile on. In my experience 26's at 5500 with give you a higher top speed than 24's at 5900, just as the math provides, but maybe you'll make 6000 an it'll be a tinge faster. Fingers crossed. A beautiful boat indeed and I'm sure she will be incredibly efficient. Following this thread has been an awe inspiring and just plain inspiring experience. Thanks for tuning us in!

Operating range on the 350 Verados is 5800-6400 rpm
The sweet spot being 6200 rpm

Ray and I each had a nice chat with Mercury's propeller Mavin, Scott Reichow.

Ray said Scott wondered why we only wanted two props for a 39 , intimating that it normally takes trips or quads to run a 39' those speeds :-)

We reviewed the performance achieved with the stock 22" Bravo and stock 26" Bravo I's.

I had 23" Bravo FS on order and he went into the order entry system and switched to Bravo FS 24 's.

A RH rotation 24 is available off the shelf, and shipped straight away, the LH rotation 24 they have to build to order.

We did say the boat ran well on one engine, so one prop, no problem!.

Did you swing by a weigh bridge I'd be interested to know how close you came to your target weight as it seemed like a big factor for you.
