Thought I would go ahead and start a build thread on my 34' VH Freeman. The boat is in the mold now, should be pulled tomorrow or Thursday at the latest. I'm heading to Freeman tomorrow so hopefully I can post a video/time lapse of the boat being pulled from the mold.
We originally had a Freeman 29' on order but after we rode on the 34' testing props with Scott and Billy, we quickly changed our mind and upgraded to the 34' VH. Not that the 29' was a bad decision, just based on the room and fishability we figured it was worth it. Any advice or ideas are welcome, but remember i'm already $71,500 OVER budget...
.
Here are some of our initial specs:
34' Freeman stepped hull with twin Yamaha 350's (I know, the dreaded 350's)
-Matterhorn white hull
-2-16' Simrad EVO screens
-Chirp transducer with BSM3
-Simrad open array 10KW
-Simrad Autopilot
-Simrad OP40 Dash controller
-2-icom VHF's
-10 JL audio 7.7" speakers with 2-10" subs/JL amps
-Fusion 700 head unit
-Rupp outrigger bases, either going with Bly riggers or Phins new riggers
-Teak isle tackle stations on eachside of leaning post
-Lebroc chairs
-Undergunnel rope lightening
-4 Ridgid underwater lights
-2 electric reel outlets
-Molded in bait boxes(beer/samich box) in transom in lieu of Tuna Tube
-800 quart coffin box
-Gunnel rod holders galore
-Triple axle trailer
I'm sure im leaving stuff out, but thats a start.
I will update this thread as Billy or Scott send pictures.

If I could reorder mine I would put the rod holder storage in the front floor boxes (inexpensive), go with extra rocket launcher rod holders and would have had my Flir installed by Freeman. Also I would get some color no one else has! I would definitely get the F350's again unless the Merc 350's prove that much better on a Freeman 34VH. Doesn't matter to me what they do on other hulls.

More cheap options.....I would like an extra cup holder on the console. 4 electric reel plugs is much better than 2. We usually fish 2 electric rods but you never know the drift. 2 transducers would be nice too!

Nice, thanks. Curious as to what transducer you went with?
