Default This is why we all own boats

We had beautiful boating weather here last week, but life has not provided us much opportunity to use our new boat. The other day, we decided to drop the boat, head out to an area known around these parts as "The Sandbar," anchor up with some food, drink, and music, and get away from things.

It was a 15 minute ride from the house, but we felt like we were 500 miles away. I've made a commitment to do this more often, as it really provides a mental release like nothing else.

Now get out and use those boats!

Great pic! Nothing like just getting out on the water and letting go! I was out at Shell Key sand bar yesterday water was like the Bahamas.

Great picture and I totally agree. Here's one of my favorites, heading north off of Cape Sable last October after two weeks in the Keys, including the Dry Tortugas.

I completely disagree with the lame statement about the two best days of a boat owner's life.

The best day of boat ownership for me is any day we are on the water.

Couldn't agree more. Can't wait for this summer so I can enjoy more evenings like this. This was my view after I pulled my last lobster pot of the day last August.

Hey someone stole 2 of your motors! Looks like an efficient set-up!

Sometimes I just sit on the boat while its on the trailer and have a beer. Can't wait for the warmer weather and can't wait for this weekend when I am going down to the boat to finish up some small project in prep for our first cruise on 4/3

Nope, sounds boring, we own our boat to spend 2 or 3 weeks out at the local islands exploring and living on our boat

I’ve seen many dawns from the east wall. Nice to see it at sunset. Great pic, Monte!

Cutting across Mass Bay last summer. Boston in the distance.

I still have hope, but I am pretty sure summer is not coming.

I couldn't agree more! I sold my boat over a year ago and move to Colorado, well lets say you I just signed a new lease in Florida and looking for another boat

I miss cruising around, doing some sunset cruise and anchoring up, having some food and drinks

I completely agree. We were out at Egmont Key Saturday and the water was gorgeous. The sun felt great and an awesome time was had. I am so glad that spring is here.

We left out on our boat on Thursday evening and got back late Sunday. Gotta love warm March weather!

Was out on Tampa Bay yesterday and it was just beautiful. Even got to see a huge loggerhead turtle swim right by the boat.

Funny enough, we were about 500 yards offshore from the restaurant where the CV made a temporary home.

Weekend before last in my neck of the woods! Can't wait for summer and a bit less hectic work schedule to do it more often.
