Recently upgraded to SS prop from alum. went from 14.8x 17 to 15.5x17..my question is with that increase...I have only small gap..say a little more than an 1/8 inch from blade tip to antiventilation plate...is this enough and will it cause any damage or performance problems...? its a 150 yammy 4 stroke 2012..by the way on a nautic star 2110..Thanks for input.

2012 Yamaha F150 on a NauticStar 2110 Sport?
What is the 15-1/2' x 17" prop you have acquired? If it is a Yamaha Saltwater Series II, the F150 is not going to be super happy with it; that is a big prop and prop rattle and shift clunk may be a problem, even with the SDS hub.

trying it will not screw anything up, but it may clunk and rattle a lot at idle speeds.
What RPM and speed did you use to get with your aluminum 17 pitch?
Here is yamaha's test on that boat. Its the "bay" version, but the hull appears to be the same to me.

Notice they used the smaller diameter, Yamaha Reliance, 19 pitch.
But you may load heavier or something, and want to run a lower pitch prop. we don't know.
Powertech props have a couple options, I like the SFS3.
They actually just came out with their version of the reliance which runs almost identical, but cost less.
Tom probably has some Stiletto props that would work well for you.
You can try that Apollo, but as Tom said, there are definitely better choices for you.
