bait pump sea chest
I am tired of my bait tank sucking air when the intake under the boat comes out in rough weather.Does anybody know of a aftermarket sea chest I can mount on my bilge to help solve my problem.thanks,Capt.Mike

If the pump is lower than the water line you should not suck air, not saying the sea chest is not a good idea, however if you put a 90 degree street elbow after the shut off valve and allow the pump to lay parallel to the bilge and below the water line you should not have that problem.

That's a good idea..I will try it,but I don't think so.The intake comes out of the water just a bit in rough seas and there lies the source.It is a real pia when you need live bait to fish.Mike
