The side profile looks like a fountain. I like it.

It's a really big boat. It's not going to see 90. I think he's looking for 75ish with quad 300s, although several naval architects have told him it will be faster. I know one goal is 60 on twin 350s. He wants the 350s to be a very realistic option, and probably account for the majority of the builds.

It doesn't, but it looks nice to me!

Will definitely be some competition for Bully's "Freeman" in South Florida.

The hull looks similar to my Cobra, just much bigger. Looks like more of a fast hull and less of a traditional wave slicing cat, I would guess that it will be fast but will pound more than a Freeman would (not that I have ever been on a Freeman)
Looks like a big Fountain from the side and an offshore racing cat from the front / beam.

Yea, I too am surprised that there is not a little higher sheer in the bow.

Will hold my comments until the final product is designed but I have my reservations on the design, plus 5k hull weight seems impossible unless its paper thin.

It sounds like its going to be a pretty cool hull. I live every single day jealous of the 30ft+ crowd.

He already sold it, lives in Charleston full time now. We see the new owner running it quite a bit.

How in heavens does a 40 footer with less than a 12 foot beam get the rights to be called a Catamaran? Nothing more than a Mono with a slit down the middle

I'd like to see it rigged and ready to fish... after all, isn't that the intent? I guess I'm just a bit more utilitarian when it comes to boats... although no one wants an ugly boat.

I've always admired and respected their build quality.

I wish them luck with the project but I definitely don't like the looks.. I much prefer the big swept bow on Ryans 31.. as many others have said it looks too much like a racing platform. Im sure it will be a great riding platform and at the end of the day that's what its all about..

I thought long and hard about buying that boat. You basically gave it away! I just couldn't swallow the fuel mileage. They do look very similar.

Yes we did. The problem for selling it was those who could afford to pay for the fuel could afford to buy a new boat.

Could be a lot of carbon fiber and kevlar in the hull & topside construction.
