The actual angle should be pretty close (14 ?) any ideas on the actual transom angle also?

Thanks in advance
I believe the transom angle is 13, so you should be good. It’s whatever the standard is which is either 11 or 13. I wouldn’t be worried about a 22” setback at all, it won’t self bail and a set of trim tabs would be good for choppy days, but it’ll be a screamer.

30 minutes into her maiden voyage she burned down a cylinder. Working on picking up a 300 Promax.

Ouch D!!!

May be a blessing in disguise though, a 3 or a 3.2 will really bring that whole package together nicely.

Haha thanks buddy i just finished restoring it last year. And yea the rims are a love it or hate it type of thing. I still have a set of classic polished bullet hole rims to keep the traditionalist happy

What kind of speed did you get out of her before she blew?

Its been a challenge but we have power.
Mercury 300 Promax with a 300X injection plate and early Optimax plenum. Just cleaning up the wiring and adding an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Putting some hours on this weekend then computer goes to Simon for programming. We're gonna burn some fuel

Had Simon shave the wheels and map the ECM's on a pair of XS's I had.... money well spent

Looking forward to hearing your numbers when you get everything bolted down.

Great day out on the water today. Just installed a MadEFI injection system and doing some fine tuning. This motor is an animal. Supposed to make 335hp set up like this. Also have a lightweight flywheel.

Lets talk props.
I have about 335hp and 15" of setback. I have not let it run yet but should be in the 24-26 pitch range.
I know a lot of people like the Tempest and Bravo. Even swears by the Promax.
These boats seem to love bow lift. I have a 24 Tempest to try and a few others but would love to try a Promax and I also think a Fury 4 might work well but these boat seem to like big diameter.

Bravo XS/FS is an awesome prop on these boats as well, lots of bow lift. Gotta run the XS/FS version, the standard gives too much stern lift. XS/FS has a cut tube, balanced, thinned, and is a beast. I'd go with the XS version on the Pro Max as it has double PVS vents and those EFI 3.0 Liter motors bog bad with a big prop, need the vents to let them slip and spool up into the power band when planing.
