This was an Infinity Yacht I built working for Harry Schoell in the early 1980's. It was started as a motor yacht on spec. and I had the hull hull done when Harry calls me over and said "I just sold a sport fish. Cut the sheer down." Completed in 1985, not bad for 34 years ago.

Needed more space for the family, but will also be used to cruise up the Western Australia coast to some fishing hot spots like Exmouth.

Thanks.

I love the lines of the custom sportfishers, although the Viking is pretty good too.

There just aren’t many of the production sportfishers in this part of the world, and even fewer custom boats. Having said that there’s currently a 2000 Merritt 60 and a 2000 Buddy Davis 68 for sale right now, which is unusual for our market.

The previous owner has a family member who is Cat certified mechanic. When they looked at importing the boat they searched for about a year for an enclosed bridge Viking with Cats.

I know Trojan went with the Duo-Delta Conic hull, but they seemed awfully thirsty and relatively slow hulls, why do you think Harry’s hulls never caught on?

Great lines. I usually like a broken shear line, but the old Posts have the classy unbroken shear of merritt or rybovich vintage. Hard to believe she’s a child of the 70’s. Beautiful

I just spoke to the owner. He told me - thru me for a loop - that the hull is a Merritt and the superstructure is custom by Rybovich. Both are old. Evidently an owner a while ago was not happy with the cabin layout and brought it to Bybovich to custom build one for him.
