Craig Blackwell/Blackwell Boatworks is in Wanchese along with all the other famous Dare County boat building greats (Spencer, Bayliss, Scarborough, Harrison, Bradley, and formerly Sculley, Davis, etc.). "Carolina Dream Builders" is Blackwell's slogan. Indeed! I don't prefer his pronounced tumblehome or arched bridge decks but it's very distinctive stylistically, and he builds a beautiful boat.

I would love to see her in person

Bayliss' Dreamtime was my absolute favorite, but after seeing hull #14, the 74' Shark Byte I think I might like this one even more:

How does anyone ever choose which builder to use for these boats? I mean honestly they are all amazing machines. If I ever got the coin I would have spencer make me a 55ft fisharound, an ultimate canyon fishing machine.

Actually there is a total lack of inventory for sale compared to pretty much every time in recent history. New boat sales are on fire as a result, but we need more to start coming up for sale on the brokerage market.

Actually, the Desperado in the photo is a 60 B and D as my dockmate owns it. It is for sale.

And for those asking about Blackwell, here is the one I traded for last year. It's a great boat and I have really enjoyed her so far:

Smooth Operator is the most beautiful boat on the Texas Gulf Coast IMO. I believe it is a 58 or 60' Briggs. Tons of trick features like a blue mirror mask, hot tub under the master stateroom bed, carbon fiber riggers, and hot pink engines (because everything on the inside of a lady should be pink).

Ayy! I saw that boat last summer!! We go to the Abacos every summer. Treasure Cay specifically. We have a 62 ft nordhavn (moon river) docked there and we get around on a 34 ft yellowfin (huntress). Soon to be replaced by a 36

HOT TUB?!?! That's freaking awesome!! That hull would look even better gel coated a light blue or yellow!
