Cool HELP ME…find this boat !

I am looking for a particular Hatteras Motoryacht I saw about a year or so ago in Florida.

It looks to be a 1973 or 1979 and about 53' with a huge custom swim platform.

I attached a few photos and I would like to purchase this boat or make an offer if found.

If I do purchase the vessel, I will provide a nice finders fee for whomever helps !

Thanks fellow boaters !

Try the Hatteras owners forum if you haven't already.

One other suggestion: put Hatteras in the title of your thread.

I will have to check, but I think someone was selling one in the DC Metro area. If I recall, the price included the slip, which appeared to be in Georgetown from what I recall.

After review, it appears as though this is not the boat you were looking for. The boat I was thinking of was a 1972 Yachtfish.

I found it on Craigslist Posting Number 4336424355, should you care to check it out.

Why that particular boat? I've seen pics of that boat before. Inquire on the Hatteras Owners Forum http://www.samsmarine.com/forums. There was a thread not too long ago about a swim platform extension and this boat was mentioned. BTW that's an older 53MY.

I like this particular boat because my Sea Ray fits perfectly on the swim platform with the wings folded and this boat is great for the money, they are cheap, only $150K or so.

Something is fishy here. This same boat was posted here in the past with someone looking for it. More to the story. Maybe a REPO guy looking for THT members helping him do his job. There are tons of these old Hatt's out there for sale. This one looks beat and is no $150k boat. OP, whats the real reason for your search?

Definitely fishy....no one looks for a particular boat.... for sale or not? Weird! This is the Hull "truth" if he is a repo man...I bet the members here would be just as likely to help him find a dead beat...as they would a legitment purchase.

And his first post? Please..you can fool some of us...but you are not going to fool all of us. I love the collective intellect on this site!!!! Cudo's to my fellow truther's!!!!

If you think 150 for that old Hat is cheap, you've not done your homework this year. What a seller may be asking has little bearing on the actual market value. Sadly for most present owners, the boat market was clobbered and for the most part has not recovered.

Compared to my 115' it is dirt cheap, it would look nice docked next to it all cleaned up, a shadow boat for toys and crew
