Default Sea Mark Boats

Anyone have any experience with Sea Mark Boats made in Wilmington NC.? I just bought a 17' cc that looks just like the Whaler Montauk. Same hull design. It rides extremely well and is very dry. Powered it with a 50 hp Honda 4 stroke.

Supposedly, these boats are preferred by carolina watermen due to their durability and ride.

Anyone out there have this boat or know someone who does?

Default Sea Mark

I bought one of these boats in 1995 and it powered with a 48 HP Johnson. I kept the boat at Cape Charles, Virginia for several years and it is now in Lake Martin, Alabama. The best hull that I have ever has been from one end of the Cheasapeake Bay to the other, jumped breakers, grounded on sand bars, through miles of marshes, and been well out of sight of land many times. Extremely low maintenance and it is as solid today as it was 15 years ago--surprising to find a gel coat and finish that looks so good after 15 hard years. Many watermen on the Eastern Shore of Virginia make a living from these boats. Sea Mark does not skimp on materials--maybe it is a little heavy but worth it for the ride and the long term durability. Thinking about a 22 foot center console for fishing in the Gulf around Destin, FL.

I have owned at least 10 boats from 17 feet through 26 feet and this is, by far, the best value and one of the most enjoyable boats that I have ever owned.
