Given it appears nems was stumping the cash to re float I'm not surprised he took the cheapest option...

Correct me if I am wrong but nems was not onboard at time of said sinking and another captain was in control?

Obvious point about the diesel spill is did they take on diesel or water into the main fuel tanks when they filled up thus bringing about the sinking? Aka sabotage... I'd be really really curious to know how full those tanks were on re floating.

If people aren't getting paid then funny things happen.

As for boat names "never again 3"

Hull speed should be 8 to 9 knots and he does not need to run the outboards at more than 3,000 rpm to get it going at that speed.

I read this thread for the first time today, and realized I saw this Viking in a slip when I was heading out to catch sails and dolphin with Capt. Skipper Gentry. We both wondered what the story was, two tone & and it looked like some side windows had temporary repairs. It didn't dawn on me b/c you can't see the outboards from the canal. Also I think it had no outriggers.

Default Crap. I may have to buy it. I thought the viking came with the OX66

Now thats a deal with out the viking. I wonder who's selling the engine? I bet they belonged to NEMS and he aint getting no money. This OX66 could be as tainted as the Viking?
