Is it my imagination or does the boat look like it is floating much higher than at the beginning of the trip? Compare the pictures on page six of this thread.

Page 6 it was underway and a different angle. I know my boat rides lower in the back under way at slow speed. There is no real comparison in those pictures.

Damn you're making good time it seems! I was thinking how cool it would be to see the boat in the icw. My next chance out is Friday and it sounds like you'll be south of St. Aug by then.

Over 100k looks on this thread alone! THT should have a big decal pasted on both sides of this boat and be paying NEMS or the owner by the click! They are making a nice paycheck on this thread.

My suggestion on a new name, can't believe it hasn't been mentioned.......in honor of THT's newest feature

From a logisitics standpoint I have a few questions.

1) are the motors in a fixed position and they're using the rudders to steer or did they actually run steering cables all the way up

2) safe to assume that they had to run throttle cables all the way up the the bridge, right?

3)Is running the boat on its own bottom the only way to get it to FL? I know trucking is probably not a viable option due to size constraints (and would require major disassembly of tower) but would loading it up onto a barge have been possible?

4) are these guys still sleeping on the deck of the boat? Assuming out in the elements since the inside of the boat must stink and be totally gutted.

Glad to see they're still safely plugging away!!

The produce stand was closed, so boiled peanuts was a no go.........................fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts will have to do! I stopped by Savannah Bend Marina this morning at about 6:40 on my way home from work. I met some of the crew bringing her down, we spent a few minutes just chatting about the trip so far and what a beauty she will become when finished. She is a big boat! I wish them the best of luck and a safe trip the rest of the way!

Be on the lookout, Dave...

How did your trip go last weekend?

We managed a limit of grouper with six of us....but the Capt. was pretty seasoned and made it look easy..!

Did okay... lost the port motor 12 miles out. Made lemonade from lemons though.
