Was on vacation sucks to return to the thread to see she sank again. I remember seeing a pic of this boat when she first sank due Sandy while trying to find pics of mine. I'm always saddened to see any boat sink or damaged. I was happy to see that she was being repaired. Best of luck. Keep the updates coming.

Man, that's just bad luck.
It will all get sorted out and back on its track south I would expect. If I were the owner it would only strengthen my resolve to bring it back to life.
I'm also digging the name "Double Down". Let's hope it doesn't have to be called "Triple Down" for the sake of everyone involved.
Thanks to NEMS for keeping us informed.

Sounds like the owner is a serious gambler with that name.

USCG contracts for fuel removal? I guess that's a way to keep the government running a little bit. Neat trip, don't understand no alarm, no auto pump.. ?

After some deep pondering methinks "Triple Threat" might be the best name.

I guess I am in the minority on whether the new owners should cut their losses, strip the boat and junk it. I think the bill the USCG will be sending will have much to say about that...and I am reasonably certain no insurance company is involved in covering this boat for it's original re-float and transportation, so there's no relief in that regard. The current owners may have deep pockets, but it just ain't worth spending as much in salvage and re-fitting as you would on something that never sank in the first place.
Part of me says to fight the good fight, re-float her, and make it like new. But I could think of a 1000 other things the money would be better spent on...number one being a newer boat that you could go fish tomorrow.
