Nate nice work, looks like around Year 2000 Mercury 90 HP 2 stroke. What's the finished color going to be, my guess is white. Oh, your garage looks like mine too, except no dogs. But there's a cat somewhere, right ?

Regards,
Big R

My understanding is if you paint a black one white or grey they lose 3mph on top end and all of thier hole-shot. Did you have to buy a smaller prop after changing color?

They may slow down after painting them gray but at least it will get you home!

Y'all are nuts. It's gonna be white. That's the only way to guarantee it will work the whole day. (That was a joke)

Better watch it, you will have Jesse and Al down there wanting to know why you are eliminating black in your neighborhood.

Nate, love your energy! How did you clean all of the grease, etc. off of the engine before you started sanding? I've got an older Johnson I've thought about cleaning up and painting, but I'm not confident I can get it clean enough to paint. Learning your prep process would be appreciated.
