Question Mako 204

Looking for opinions on the Mako 204.

The layout on it is perfect.

But its still Tracker building it?

Has the kinks been worked out?

I have a 2011 204 Mako great boat! I never knew Mako's had such a bad reputation until I got on this site. Truth is I have been over 30 miles offshore and love how the boat handles. Every time I read about a problem it is from someone that does not own one..

I always wonder the same. I have been looking at the new Makos for a while but you can rarely get any feedback online. The 204 has a nice layout but I have no clue about long term quality.

During the Miami boat show, I spent some time looking at the new Mako 234 with twin mercuries, I loved the layout and it looked really sharp.

I grew up owning nothing but Makos and bought a new 192cc in 2001 and sold it in 2007, never had any issues at all. In 2012 bought a 2011 Mako 204 cc have not had one issue. As a matter of fact went 30 miles last October in 4-5 seas. Got back in port and overheard a couple saying it was to rough offshore to go snapper fishing in their whaler. I asked them what type of whaler the owned it was a 22 outrage, laughed my but off.

I don't see why they get such a bad wrap. I was in and out of a 284 at Miami last year and taking the price into consideration the only thing I didn't like was the goofy bow rail. All the other, not as nice things I could live with for the price they wanted.

Nothing wrong with Mako quality and only on THT do you see a few uninformed keyboard captains bash the brand. I think they are great bang for the buck. I have owned a "Classic 224 Mako" and now own a "Bass Pro" Mako and the Bass Pro Mako is a much better boat.
