Your welcome. I think the dudes name is Kevin. I needed a few extra straps for my boat cover. Emailed him, asked for a 5-6 extras. I got an email back with a tracking number, and a no problem! The shade is a "spandex" type material. Very flexible, lots for loops for different styles of attachments. Their site has a short video. Just so ya know.

Default This is what I have used,

but you cannot run with it up. At least I would not. It's well made and I made a pvc tube for it and just keep it on the boat.

I have a 22' CC and it can be used in my bench seat rod holder with the umbrella going under the T-Top and extending shade to my transom. I use a bungy cord to make sure it doesn't fly out with the wind. This lets 4 of us bottom fish in the shade all day.

I can also put it in front of my console and it will shade the entire bow of my boat letting the dogs and kids have shelter from rain/sun. My son and I use it to camp on the bow. We use 3 bungies for this setup. I can run up to 30mph with the umbrella set up front. I've waterproofed it each year as well.

I just saw they have a bigger version on the site too. The one pictured above is plenty big for my 22' boat though.

Default Shade solved

Make a "u" shape out of sch 40 PVC and place it upside down in your rear rod holders. Make a "double T" section of sch 40 pvc to fit in the rod holders located on the rear of your t-top/roof. Connect cloth ( old curtains in our case) to both pvc structures and the whole back of your boat all the way to your motors will be covered in shade. I can send pics if this sounds like something your are interested in. Works great on my 2300 WA.

Head to your local Sail Loft and get some scrap spinnaker material. Works great for shade, light weight and can pack into a little stuff sack if need be.

Make someting like this off the ft of your t-top. 2 pieces of PVC and some velcro, it would roll right into itself.

Has anybody installed the "Sure shade"? I saw it while searching something else, looks like it would solve the problem of being in the way while fishing and it looks like you could run at slower speeds with it deployed.

You can get a 6' bimini at Overton's for about $149 or an 8' long one for about 200 bucks. install it with the bow against ttop. When not in use fold it against Ttop and tie it to it with non metallic bunji cords. You can run up to 40 mph with it there. All the other solutions proposed take up storage space onboard. Whatever you take aboard has to be stored somewhere when riding at any speed over 10mph. A bimini does not need storage space as proposed.

Good job dredging up half a dozen old shade threads and adding links to something you are probably related to....

It's something that I've never seen and was glad to see it. What did he do to deserve attitude?

EDIT: Nevermind. I see he's resurrected quite a few threads and pasted his little ad in all of them. Point taken.
