The Deplorable . . . An '89 28' starcraft pontoon all retro. New yammy, seats and a huge stereo. Lives up to its name every weekend.

I thought of naming it "Flying Tiger" with a graphic of the tiger and lady (bare breasts covered up of course to make it PC) but it just didn't work. Other choices were "Blue Diamond" and a few others I can't think of. Finally my son asked what kind of plane did he fly? I said it was either a B-24 Privateer, or a Liberator. My son said that's it! Liberator.
Excellent way to honor your father and a Veteran.

My father also was a B24 commander, flew with the 8 Air Force with his first mission being D Day.

Mine is "Reset". In my business, a reset is a day of rest.

Some of these names crack me up, I couldn't imagine keying the mic on 16 with "Mayday, Mayday, this is Little Miss Titty Bouncer..."

For the longest time, based upon my wife's suggestion, we were going to go with "Barque a l'eau" (boat of the water), as our last name is Barkalow. Decided it was too "cute" and most folks just wouldn't get it.

It turns out that the saga that kept us from buying the boat was ended 45 years to the day from when my wife and I met on a blind date, and exactly one year after signing the contract to buy this place, done specifically so we could have a boat on a lift in the back yard.

"Blind Date" it is.

That's also how a lot of fishing trips go too, so it fits either way.

Chasing Cash for two reasons...
#1- Our sons middle name is Cash ( named after Johnny Cash)
#2- It seems like we are always chasing that dollar

Stories please!!!

Many first missions were on D Day. Out of the frying pan and into the fire indeed.

Papa flew right seat on Hell`s Angel. No nose art, just brushed on in white paint,
Huck Finn style. Whole plane was flat black. Gangsta style.

485th BG, 831BS.
Venosa, Italy.
Sept., 44- April 45.

No More (in small letters on top)
Child Support (bigger letters)

Looks like Child Support until you get close, then you can see the small lettering for "No More".
