The guy I bought the Ranger from had already named it "Turn Me Loose". I've got no idea what his mindset was when naming the boat that, but I assume he was a "catch and release" type of fisherman.

I like the name, so I kept it. Besides, Forest Gump taught me it's bad luck to change a boats name or have an unnamed boat.

My 1st boat, dad's money and boat actually since I was just a kid, was called the "Sea Tee". My initials for my 1st and middle name are CT.

Well my boat is Tan with purple metalflake down the center and the seats are tan and purple also. So I decided to rename my boat. "PURPLE HAZE". Anyone else???

"Wahoo" which is what it was named when it was bought new in Florida - I'm guessing a very common name over there, but according to the MMSI register, pretty rare over here. I was going to change it to "Ceffyl y Mor II" - previous boat was "Ceffyl y Mor" which means Sea Horse, but decided that changing from "Wahoo" was somehow denying the boat the first 4 years of its life - the time it spent in Florida.

STEELA

Born in Pittsburgh and a Steelers fan.
Live in New England and when my son was little he would say
"Pippa Steela" in a Boston accent.

Steela stuck with us.
