Went and saw the twin to our new boat being built. The one we crawled on is about 95% complete. Can't wait until May 1st (that's our bottom line finished date)!

Saw a GPSMAP498 for sale on here the other day and liked how the display was configured. I looked in my manual and figured out how to change the display from kts to mph and got rid of a unused window thereby enlarging my position window

Not a damn thing...I haven't seen my boat since the weekend before Thanksgiving.

I button up the house the week before Thanksgiving because I know, due to my busy season, I wont be back until the first of the year. The weather here in SE Texas has been HORRIBLE the first half of Jan.

Went camping at Three Rookers this past weekend. Asked myself why is the water so cold when the weather is so nice. Wind did kick up over night, but still had a great night on the water.

Dropped off my $10 check at the harbor masters office to keep my name on the Plymouth Harbor mooring list for the 8th year in a row. They told me 12-15 years back in 05 when there was 700ish on the list...and the good news is I'm down to #88 now!

It spanned yesterday and today, but I went to replace the trim piece on the inside of my gunnels with taco flexible edge wrap. It looked crappy so I decided to paint it instead, and it cost a whole lot less.

Installed rod holders on the starboard side of my console. It aint easy getting inside the console of a Grady 180!

I also ran it on the hose for a while. There's something special about the smoke screen starting a carb'd Johnson Ocean Pro in the driveway. Loud too!

Looked at them through the back door. I'm sick of this weather. I want to get started on the sea ray!

I'm glad someone else appreciates this! I pulled mine just far enough out of the garage on Saturday to run it on the hose. Of course it smoked for 30 seconds or so when I first started it, but I love that smell. I was then proud that it drove the CO monitor in the garage up from 0 to 430 in the 15 minutes I had it running. Good old American made motors. All the 4-stroke low emissions motors can suck my 1984 Johnson's exhaust!

Default Sad day

Pulled the boat out of the water so it can take it's winter's nap. I've already stretched my season a month longer than usual plus there is very little that we are allowed to fish for right now unless you are willing and able to run 55 miles offshore for 15 sea bass.

Mine is for sale so I am in the middle of waxing it to make it look purdy. Another 5 days worth at least.
