Made her officially mine. Both the trailer and boat are now in my name. Was able to get this done, plus my car registered, in about 2 hours at the DMV and State Enviro police, Really not that painful.

Default Walleye Wrangler!

I read today that the walleye bite is great there, Also that the Lake levels are super high.

walleye bit is amazing on Lake Erie right now. And the lake is at all time highs. Going to start running charters next year on her and can’t wait

  • Changed lower unit gear oil. Hmmm. Clean, brown oil came out. Blue went in.
  • Changed out impeller on water pump. Looks good.
  • Checked, cleaned, and gapped plugs. Dripping with oil.
  • Ran her on muffs. Needs work.

The bucket is to help the family (and me) make sure we don't back into the tongue. It's usually not parked here...

Ran my boat on the muffs today since the weather has been a bit questionable lately.

Spent a LOT of money today outfitting the boat. Good news is that this is all portable to the next playtoy. List included:

1. NOAA Maine charts, ME cruising guide and chart tube
2. Placesettings: Corelle dinnerware for 4 (on ebay FTW) silverware, knives
3. Galley tools: You name it: wine opener, can opener, cooking utensils, dishtowels, measuring tools, mixing bowls, cutting board, BBQ skewers (luckily had a Sur La Table gift certificate that took the sting outta it)
4. Weber Q (with bag) and Magma rail mounting stuff. Added a vintage Coleman stove only because it was cheap on ebay, local and almost brand new.
5, Simple skiff/tender (yay Craigslist)
6. Anti-fatigue mat (I need one of these for my wallet)

Thank you. She is a 1957, 33ft Jersey sea skiff built by Hubert Johnson in Bayhead N.J

Another day at the ATM

1. Picked up said tender ($225 and virtually brand new!)
2. Bought oars
3. Design of boat name locked and loaded

I did NOTHING with my boats today. I tried to live a normal life for a day at least and succeeded. Now about tomorrow.....who knows. Pray for me.

Replaced leaky seals in trim cylinders. Ran battery dead while working the air out...

... It was more of a day Friday and Saturday dealing with a stick caliper on the family vehicle. Never got it in the water bc of that
