The battle rages on. The destruction phase of deck replacement of my Maritime Skiff 14 is over, I think. Total weight of soggy foam removed came to 315#.

So far 1 1/2 gal of resin & about a 4'X8' worth of biaxial cloth have gone back in to reinforce the stringers & compartments which are sealed under the deck.

No foam going back in. I am going to pack a bunch of plastic bottles instead of foam. They won't soak up water. No plywood deck either. The boat should be good for another 22 years.

Yes, it’s Alligator Reef Lighthouse. I took that pic of our boat there on Saturday, March 2nd ... it was completely flat that day. Here is a link to the 6 lighthouses of the Florida Keys

I have thought about using empty water bottles as well, but there has to be a reason manufactures do not do this. 2liter bottles might be better. They are very durable!

Dont ask him about the light!!! He might turn it on and we’ll all be blinded, lose our night vision and crash into a marker!!!

I finished up all the curtains for my Carver and installed. Tomorrow I have to work on the trim tabs. I need to drill them and add zincs as electrolysis attacked the mounting screws.

Thought about what I need to take with me to take the tires and wheels off in order to replace 11 year old trailer tires. Was gonna go at it this morning, but the new 2” snowfall discouraged me, so I will do this on Monday. I hate winter, especially this time of year!

Tested out newly installed Rhodan and autopilot and took my mom fishing to about 100'. Slow day. One keeper grouper, 4 keeper mangroves up to 22", a handful of kings (they are THICK in 50-80 FOW out of Tampa if anyone is curious). Still a good day on the water despite the slow action.
