I bought a new one! Well, actually about a week ago.

its a 16’ Pro Sports skiff. Everything works on it & supposedly it’s a really nice boat. I haven’t seen it in person yet because I’m working out of town. I happened to see it on FB marketplace and asked my dad to go check it out for me. My wife met him with the cash & he went & picked it up.

One had an internal failure that left metal on a couple of pistons, scored the cylinder walls, and filled 2 cylinders with coolant......... at 197 hours.
Mercruy took both engines back under warranty (3 yr.) and gave me back what I paid for them originally.
Then told me to "buy another product". hence the Crusaders!

I asked the director of service at Mercury if there was an inherent problem with this run of engines............ she didn't answer the question.

Made a pvc pole to go under the boat cover so water would shed off, rather than pooling up like it has been. Gotta get a shed to park it under.

Sounds like Mercury did you right, although Iím sure you would have preferred not to have them replaced. Iíve got the same Crusader in my boat, but itís a 2006. Just refreshed it with a new marine long block after 2,000 hours. No complaints from me on that model.

While all you folks are pulling your boats out of the water, I put mine in.
I typically trailer but there's a bridge with a relatively steep decline and nearly a 90į turn ( on the decline ) in between me and the launch ramp that intimidates me when I've got close to 9000 pounds behind me and only 1 wheel Drive. I'll be storing my boat in the water for the next couple months so I won't miss out on any opportunities to use it because of icy roads.

Decided to keep it and took it off the market!

I got to order new Llebroc helm seats, a custom baitwell, and a whole bunch of other fun stuff to customize it. And probably saved $50K over selling and replacing
