Casually fished. Washed flushed and back in the driveway. Doubt we get much of anything now. But strapped to the trailer with neighbors 17' jon boat and my duck boat stashed in the garage, with room enough for the fiance's car still.

weathered the storm without incident...restrung the canvas on the t-top, put the t-bag back up and loaded the gear back in after washing the leaves out of the deck and scuppers...drilled drain holes in the electronics box...it took on water ive never seen before but then again it never saw rain and 120 mph winds...released the ground anchors and ran her...shes ready to go again...

Pulled her out of the building she was hiding in and parked her in the driveway, I'm very fortunate and thankful to have had the use of the building as I know many were not so lucky. My thoughts are with you all.

Contemplating repowering her.
Looking at cost of drop-in replacements ($9k ea + installation), or get a longblock, buy all the parts, and assemble myself prior to installation.
The latter seems to save about $2k per engine, but -though very mechanical - I'm not an engine builder, and any warranty issues will be a lot more difficult to handle.

Decisions decisions....

nothing but saw a picture of my boat and lift upside down in the canal thanks to a tornado, no hurricane no surge, just a tornado. Thank God the house came through without a scratch.

Default Needed generator fuel

Hooked a small pump to fuel the line and filled generator and some cans. It is far cheaper to buy FPL power than it is to produce your own.

feel fortunate...my generator blew a capacitor about 24 hours in...fortunately I had power restored within 24 hours of that and had packed the refrigerator with ice...

Here she is up and running, with re-man heads new Fel Pro marine gaskets and a new center riser exhaust conversion (it used to have the one piece OMC batwings that are NLA)

Troubleshot a fuel gauge issue, it is reading at E even though it's over half full. Year old sender but original teleflex analog gauge.

Yesterday got the call that the boat was ready at the shop after 4+ weeks. New high pressure fuel pump, pumped out the tank, replaced the filter and hoses. Will pick it up tomorrow and pay them over $1500.

Washed about 8 pounds of salt off her and reinstalled all the canvas after Irma came through.

Pumped out my little boat and took a short ride to the river and back.Checked out a 20' or so work boat that sank last night, hanging upside down at the docks.
