Here she is up and running, with re-man heads new Fel Pro marine gaskets and a new center riser exhaust conversion (it used to have the one piece OMC batwings that are NLA)

Troubleshot a fuel gauge issue, it is reading at E even though it's over half full. Year old sender but original teleflex analog gauge.

Yesterday got the call that the boat was ready at the shop after 4+ weeks. New high pressure fuel pump, pumped out the tank, replaced the filter and hoses. Will pick it up tomorrow and pay them over $1500.

Washed about 8 pounds of salt off her and reinstalled all the canvas after Irma came through.

Pumped out my little boat and took a short ride to the river and back.Checked out a 20' or so work boat that sank last night, hanging upside down at the docks.

Default Dash/helm improvement

Since my fishing partner had to go back to VA on Saturday due to a family emergency, (Prayers to you and your Family John), I did this. I had some holes left over from the electronics that were moved around and wanted to clean it up. I had some solid plastic panels left over and found a use for them.

So finally got my boat license ...

And got my own solar panel battery charge system i put together hooked up and working (YAY!) even charged the spare battery :D

Now was planning to go in water but the engine ran awful so here is what i did:
1- Replaced fuel tubes going into the VRO
2- Replaced small engine fuel filter (was leaking air)
3- Replaced engine starter cable (was a flimsy cable that seemed far to thin.)
4- changed priming pump
5- Changed spark plugs
6- Fitted an LED strip around the boat for night
7- Greased steering wheel and other bits and pieces
8- Finally found the problem making my outboard stop going upwards thanks to a mechanic who happened to be there. there is a stop circuit at engine mount that causes the outboard to stop moving upwards that is adjustable so moved it up and voila problem solved.

That got the engine to behave a lot better however it seems inconstant (runs ok then vibrates then works ok then slows down until it stops) so will try an external tank as I think there is either blockage or the water separating unit is putting a too much load on the VRO pump or the VRO pump is not giving the proper fuel output it should.Im running a higher than usual oil mix until i get the horn sorted.

No cleaning here. Those wheels were beyond repair. Brand new galvanized wheels.
