He said the day before the tournament they were out catching bait and on the way in the boat started listing hard to left, he thought trim tab might have gone out, both bildge pumps kicked in and he was abput to make it back. He said it happened about 36 miles out.

But I will add that he said Yellowfin is going to build him a new boat.

Well I was unsure about posting what i know but i figured it would be better to hear it from someone who knew them others coming up with their own stories. The boat is only about 5 miles from me right now so next time i see him im going to try and go by and see it. The way he said it is that YF is building him a new boat, he didnt go into anymore details then that.

was the delaminated explanation pretty accurate, or hull separated from the cap, or separation of the rub rail, or a thruhull failure?...lots of ways water can get into the bilge....just askin

However I have not drank as much koolaid as some owners. The boat does have its faults.

Yelowfins customer service is the best in the industry by far. Some people will claim that X brand is just as good but, when it comes down to it does X brand build new hulls for its customers or leave them hanging? I had issues with the outside of my hull at one time. The gel coat kept yellowing and Yellowfin kept wet sanding it out. Eventually Wylie offered me a new hull and actually built me one. At the time I was almost certain I had to sell the boat due to the bad economy. I told Wylie I could not accept his offer and he decided to re spray my existing hull with new gel coat. All though eventually so far we have managed to keep the boat and not have to sell her I was disappointed having to turn down the new hull. The last thing I wanted to do was take the new hull and then turn around and sell it right away. I did not want to do that to Wylie, I had to be honest with him especially for having such great customer service.
