Results from Farrow System & Atlantic Green Pro's
#1

OK After weeks of researching the removal of my old bottom paint including High end sanding equipment, soda blasting, chemical stripping ,rental of various blasting systems, All of which would have gotten the job done correctly all with varing levels of labor involved.
I finally decided on Atlantinc Green Pro's.( a sponsor here) ....AND I"M SO GLAD I DID...
Dale ( owner/operator) arrived on time, setup his equipment and got to work...the result are just plain STELLAR..( I will post pictures as soon as I can get under the boat) consistant, carefull & clean....the bottom was left with about an 80 grit finish. No burn thru in any place...When Dale did find something to note he stopped and pointed it out. A perfect job done in a professional way, I would recommend his services to anyone needing a job like this done, the price was by far lower than any other method I could calculate. factoring my time and materials. ( not to mention the mess or toxic residue)
As a testament to his professional style, there was a crowd of fellow boat owners forming thru the day to see the process being done, I'm sure he will land a few more gigs in our yard...There simple is no better way to get results like this, If it wasnt for the wet ground under the boat after his final wash you would not know he was there.
Thanks for your attention.

32 Carver Note how clean both the boat bottom and asphalt is.

40' Formula This guy commutes to work every morning from Raritan Bay to Manhattan in this thing... 1800 hours in just one season.

40' Formula Same boat as above, just a close up of what our bottoms look like.

28 SeaRay Another boat we did this week.

I understand Dale n.p. I'll measure it.... Yeah If I told you what I paid for it, Maybe I did tell you...That boat was the steal of the season...Again thanks for the great job...filling in that box is job one when the weather breaks...propspeed on the running gear and the full treatment of barrier coat and bottom paint...gonna see what I gain after the fairing blocks and that box is filled in..last season when I bought the boat and the bottom was clean ( no growth) but I suspect the bottom paint was very tired cause we were getting growth not long after.... was making 20-21 knts at 3k rpm...and as the season went on we lost a knot or two..I'm hoping to get up to 23 knts at same RPM...with a newly faired bottom and less paint, clean running gear...I think its possible....

This is how our morning started.

Wet blasting boat... Low pressure (45 psi) and NOTE NO DUST!

This is what it looked like at the end of the day all clean and ready for paint.

More boats in the shop this week

This one came in for the full treatment boat bottom blasting and 2 coats of barrier paint followed by two-coats of hard ablative... ya, she had an ugly bottom.

The first thing we did was take off her bottom and clean her up.

Then we barrier coated her with Interlux2000E

Followed by two coats of hard ablative for trailering.
Two more boats coming in this weekend for the full treatment.
