The yf 21is bigger than most 22 so don't sell yourself short go look at them or call the factory and speak with Kevin barker he is the top in customer care. The boat will sell it's self. Go take a ride and then go ride everything else out there. I bet you will go back to the yf

I've never been on a yf or black jack but I love my hydrasport bay bolt. Looked at key west, sea hunt, nautic star, pioneer, pathfinder, sea fox, etc before making my purchase and the hs was the best for me. I'm not saying that some of the others aren't great boats but the hs was best suited for me.

Best one for the money is gonna be nauticstar, bluewave, kenners for the waters around coastal LA and Texas. Now if money was not an object, then it would be a different list.

If you are going new that are not far off! That is the reason they are backed up at the factory so long! Standard equipment includes a powerpole, jackplate, ameratrail, and marantz electronics system.

Look silver the op asked for our options about boats in the range he specified. Why do you feel the need to bash the yf product. There are a lot of boats that are no where near the quality of a yf but we don't bash them. I have priced about everything out there in the 24 ft range and all the better boats are right there with the price of a yf or with in ten k. I kept my boat for 18 months and got to sell it for almost what I paid for it now tell me what other brand that will do that.

It seems you must define what "the money" is. For a nice mid range 22' bayboat, I would say Nauticstar, Pioneer, Sea Hunt, Key West (well, it's a 21'), and possibly Tidewater for national brands. If your money is more like the $40K plus range, there are other options out there, several of which have been mentioned, along with Ranger and Triton.
