Hi guys
I know that you get this alot but I would love to hear what USA boats you all rate. I am in Australia and we are seeing a big increase in boat imports from the USA. Its hard to sort out the wheat from the chaff as they all look so good. Your thoughts on top brands and ones to avoid would be much appreciated.
Cheers

I'd have to say, and in no particular order....in the small boat category
Intrepid
Yellowfin
Bahama
Venture....although closed up now
Dusky. Not a show dog, but a solid boat.

Tuck Guthrie
Jamie Chadwick
Roy Barnes & Bill Schwabe
Glen Rose
Ricky Gillikin (deceased, but his company is still around)
I'd like to add Bill Freeman in there, but I don't know enough about his boats just yet (and I don't know the man himself)...even though his facility is about a mile from where I'm sitting as I type this. If I were to add him to the short list above, Billy should be extremely proud to be among those names. Even the thoughts of being their equal says alot.

Henriques is the only boat I've owned that I consider to be more or less a top boat builder and that I didn't have any problems with.
Owned a 30' Pursuit 30' CC, had deck delamination problems but liked the boat overall and wouldn't hesitate to own one again.

Are we talking new, production builders and currently in production? If so:
Viking
Cabo
Hatteras
Henriques
Carolina Classic
Expanding to 10, I'd add:

Jupiter
Grady White
