I just got a stamas thought it was a 26 no I think is a 28 but what I seen here.
got it for 1k no trailer ,no engines , looks real nice shape fiberglass wise, inside looks shiny. has a head and galley. now this thread leads me to believe is a real good hull. otherwise doubt you would of spent so much on the restore. so , I am happy for you.
Certainly shows the potential. I'm always amazed when I see that transformation that happened with this one.

Default Wow just wow

Well Iím new to boats and just picked up a 18ft 1964 stamas spartan outboard... old owners loaded it on a new trailer for me... didnít set it right.. you all can guess what happened. So I start researching fiberglass repair and 2 weeks into various boat projects research I found this... now my one question what does 76 stamas do for a living? Because Iím about to jump down the rabbit hole of boat repair and thats going to cost an arm and a leg !

well old owner told me he sistered up the runners in the boat... Iím guessing old ones rotted out and having the bunks on the trailer improperly positioned on a week spot (rotted beam) caused the hull to bend and crack.... so going to start with a patch and I foresee gutting the inside and fixing it right because honestly donít think a patch will hold as itís aboit 8 inch long crack and the water from the bilge is leaking out the bottom. now my 900$ boat is going to turn into a money pit lol
