Default Which Brand Gunnel Rod Holder

Any Good Quality Rod Holders out there that are Built to LAST? Main concern is for them to have a welded pin at the bottom for rods & Especially the Down-riggers. 30* is what im looking for.

LD Marine (formerly CJ, God rest his soul) makes the best in the biz, IMO. They are swivel holders, but if you want to make them static, all you have to do is tighten the nut down all the way. http://ldmarineproducts.com/ ...

Pompanette- they come with threaded backing plates and threaded drains. You can get them in 15 degree, 30 degree, straight. Have been running them for 20 years and they are a quality product. Check ebay for deals on them.

GEM products has some good rod holders. I installed the screwless ones, gives a clean look to the gunnel.

without a doubt, ordering some ld/cj's this week. go take a look at the boats that routinely fight 500-1000 lbs fish with 40-70 lbs of drag out of the gunwale and see what rod holders they use. CJ's are built to take anything thrown at them.
