Default Mamba 350 Cat-Factory pics

Headed down to Sarasota recently to check out the new Mamba marine factory. Kinda strange that our GPS took us directly to the Yellowfin factory! oops. Thinking fate may have played a role, we decided to take a tour anyway to see the new 39. Certainly the nicest center consoles on the market, but just not what we are after. The Mamba factory ended up being just 50 yards away.

Richard was kind enough to take us through the production process and to discuss the endless assortment of options. There's a new hardtop on the way as well as several leaning post, tackle center, and fishbox options. As you can see from the pics, the boats are just starting to line up.

Any idea on the height from the bottom of the sponsons to the top of the tunnel? For power, are they being offered as inboard (gas or diesel), outboard or your choice?

I like the way these boats look... and would love to get a direct comparision of this 35 Mamba vs the 33 Freeman... To me this would be a better comparision vs a mono thread that keeps popping up..

I have a friend that is interested in the Mamba and I was able to check out the boat in Fort Lauderdale. The pics I had seen prior to seeing it in person did it no justice. It's huge and totally customizable. The owner and other reps were very knowledgeable and really went through the whole thing with us. I was very impressed. I wish it would have been possible to sea trial it as there was a stiff breeze on Saturday and the seas were up. No big deal as they're only an hour down the road from me in Sarasota and we're going to arrange a sea trial soon. Here are a few pics.

We did our best to get her to lean ... I think we got it about 4"s with 10 people.

Had a nice head too.

What are those teflon strips on the trailer, I could use some on my lift cradle the boat sticks to the carpet sometimes.

I would really like to know how well that handles a nasty 4' chop, especially with the foil.

Seems like they could add a few more rod holders.

Nice performance #s for a 35' boat.

Just to reiterate... From what I heard when speaking to them at the show on Saturday; they'll build it however you want. Meaning, if you want 30 rod holders, they'll put the drill to work.

Not sure on tunnel height but the hydrofoil allows the boat to ride higher thus increasing the height relative to the same cat without the foil. They will rig with outboards of your choice. Personally, I'm thinking the new lighter F300 Yamahas are the ideal setup but the Suzuki's are nice too.

Interesting! I also like the concept of this boat. It looks beautiful and very well built, from the pictures. I am just a little concerned about tunnel height (again, just from the perspetive of the pictures). The hydrofoils will help with that at planning speed, but how about when trolling? Gator2000, I think many of us will be looking forward to your sea trial... if you can include some observations on the behavior at trolling speed, it will be great.

Google is your friend....or should be.

Article written in June of '09, Base price with Suzuki 300's is $208,500. Add a few bucks for inflation and rise in material cost, maybe $215,000 currently?? Article doesn't mention a trailer, so throw another $10k on top of that.

Just curious is this an aluminum or a fiberglass hull? Basically looks exactly like the FinCat that was made out of Aluminum and built in MS a few years ago, albeit finished nicer. A few of the charter boat guys down in S. LA ran them but I never managed to get a ride.

If a fiberglass boat how do they attached the stainless steel foils?

It's an Fiberglass hull. I snapped a pick this weekend of the base price with 300's.
