Default Need assistance

Can someone tell me how to clean the bottom of my boat? I am taking it out of the water to be winterized. It has algae growth on the hull. I heard someone say use 50/50 acid/water. Is the a more friendly environmental product that cleans as well?
Thank you,

Power washer should do the trick... then it is just water.

There's quite a few good commercial bottom cleaners out there. Starbrite is one of the more popular brands. An example of a cleaner: http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs...34&classNum=34

Slimy Grimy, the strongest version if you have growth. Power washer will not get the stain off the glass. As far as the environment is concerned, acid will dilute and is not harmful unless you drink it prior to dilution.
