Default Stainless Garbord Drain Plug? Rod Holders?

I am looking for a good source of Stainless Steel Hardware and specifically does anyone know where to find a Stainless Garbord Drain Plug for the transom? I have only found the brass units and want to install Stainless if it is out there.

Also on flush mount rod holders I note there are several Stainless types Stamped and Forged...which one is best and why?

Who has the best price on flush mount rod holders???

Thanks for any input or assistance.

SS threads bind when you tighten them so it is not recommended. Stay with the brass-it will last 5 years, and is a little softer material than the female end in your transom. Cheaper to replace the $1 plug, then to pul and seal the female drain fixture out of the hull if she cross threads someday.
BPS, Cabellas have a good selection of FM Rod Holders in different brands, and when I did my search, I couldn't find a big difference in price.
The Lee is one of the best widely distributed holders you will find, altough there are many smaller competitors. They are heavy gauged with thick chome coatings, and the rubber inserts last, and are replaceable. Tigress is a thin gauge SS, followed by cheapies like Perkco, made from anodized soft antimony that will not hold up for long in saltwater. Finally you have the plastics, but the sun and heavy rods quickly take their toll on them.

I always heard to use bronze under the water line, stainless above. I got a lot of stainless pieces from these people including a 1/2 inch garboard plug in stainless. Intend to use for a compartment drain.

3/4 garboard plug

Everything I've gotten from them has been great. Service and shipping was fast. In addition to the garboard drains, I've gotten pop-up fillers, pop up fender cleats, lighting, deck hardware, faucets, and vents. They were all high quality and reasonable.

As far as flush mount rod holders these guys were pretty good for the regular size.

I've gotten some of rod holders. Good quality and service. I think they were around $22. I have a couple left over if you are only looking for two.

all the ss drain plugs i have seen have been coarse thread. havent heard of any issues with crossthreading with them. I even saw one that had a flapper built in. check with some local marine supply stores, or rv suppliers. if they have an account with coast distribution(wholesaler) then they can get them for you.
