Default Pursuit C230 or Everglades 210 CC

Hi all. Longtime lurker, first time poster. I have narrowed my choices down to a Pursuit C230 and an Everglades 210 CC. Is there anyone that can share their experiences or opinion on either or both? I fish in Long Island Sound and Block Island Sound. I want a quality made boat that's an excellent fishing platform but has a softer side for the wife and two kids (7 and 10 y.o.). I was hoping for a Hydra Sports dual console but their best prices are 8 - 10 K more than the Pursuit and Everglades and that is above my budget.

I have ruled out all other brands because of ride, quality, dealer location, and/or price. I've done a search but there is not much out there on these specific models.

Thanks for the help!

Then the Hydra Sports is WAY overpriced.

Isn't Everglades shut down right now? That would be a concern if I was considering buying a new or under warranty vessel.

Default Pursuit C230 and Everglades 210cc

As for price, a 2009 Hydra Sports "rock bottom" price is around mid 50's with no electronics, bottom painting etc. I have priced the center consoles less than that. I don't think the Hydra is over-priced, the others are over supplied (better deals).

Everglades is not shut down.

I have seen plenty of HS 2200 DC for low $50s.

If you can buy a Pursuit 230 for less than $45,000, BUY IT.

Regardless of the relative pricing, it's not quite an apples to apples comparison. The Everglades 210 is 21.6' X 8.5' with a hull weight around 3400 pounds. The Pursuit C230 is 22.75' X 8.5' with a hull weight around 4000 pounds.

If you can really get a well equipped new Pursuit for the same money as the Everglades and less than the Hydra-Sports 2200 DC, then I would say that is the way to go and a good value too.

Everglades 210 cc not Edgewater. Both the Pursuit and E-glades are typically equipped and without electronics except for the radio in the Everglades. The E-glades is fancier but 1 foot shorter. Both have Yammy F250's

The Pursuit is a nice boat but I'd probably buy the Everglades. I just like the design of the transom better. The euro transom also looks to eat up more space on the Pursuit than the Everglades so the extra 1' of boat may not show up in extra interior space. I also love all the bells and whistles you get with an Everglades. I agree with people that say they are overpriced, but there are deals out there making them similar in price to other boats. When you find one of those that fits your bill, I would buy it.

Don't get me wrong, but when I looked at the capacity rating of the 23 Pursuit it was, I think, 7. That is one more then my 12 RIB. They are nice looking but the fact that the capacity rating is so low would worry me.

How many ppl do you need on a 23 foot boat...let alone a 12 foot RIB??

I fished a 2470 Pursuit for 9 years. I just took delivery on a new Everglades 230 cc and could not be more pleased. When I was shopping, I thought the fit and finish was superb. Now that I have had time to look at every inch of the boat, I am even more impressed.

I installed all of the electronics myself (HD Radar, Chart Plotter, VHF, Sounder, Transducer, NMEA 2000 Network, etc.) and gained an in-depth view of the boat in the process. The boat handles great in all kinds of conditions. I get 2.9 MPG at 29 knots with the Yamaha 250.

Everglades has significantly more standard features. You may want to consider the 230 over the 210 since you are looking at a 230 Pursuit.
