Default Honda 225 question

The last time out in my boat, after a drift of approximately 10 minutes with the engines at idle, I went to power up andd the port engine temp warning light, buzzer, and the engine cut back in rpm. I immediately brought it back to idle and shut it down. The seas were calm so I pulled the cowl. I coudn't see anything wrong so I had one of the guys start that engine. It was peeing, no buzzer, and the water felt normal. I ran the boat the rest of the day without another buzzer.

I am think maybe a fluke of the thermastats. Any other ideas? The t stats are about 18 months old.

Hello,
I had the same problem and replaced both thermostats. Problem sovled. Take out the thermostas from the engine and placed them in boil hot water, If it does't click to open then your problem is there. Mine were corrossion due to salt water. Try this before you buy new ones.

(P.S. Sorry about my english)
