Emoticons. At least the same ones we had before, preferably more.

to go along with the font size, it would help with readability if the reading pane had a white background.

Thumbs up Site seems slower to load

All the forums seem much slower to load. I'm on a very fast network and everthing else is working fine today.

One more thing- I liked the way the quick reply was before where you didn't click anything to be able to type....several others have mentioned this as well. Could we get that capability back?

Click on user CP.
Click on "edit options"
Scroll all the way down to "Miscellaneuos"
Change the option to "Enhanced interface"
Click save changes

Now, when you click on the "Post Reply" button on the bottom left, you should have a pane of emoticons to your right.

Thumbs up

Now we're talking IB - needed a thread like this last night!

I think Ads within people's posts are pretty distracting and cheap looking - might look into moving them elsewhere.

It loads by me OK, but when you reply to a post, it hangs for app 15-30 seconds on my end.

Still feelin my way around......definitely has more features. Takes some time getting used to. I must be getting older......I don't have the patience I once did.

I got alot of basic functionality back by going to User CP. Sometimes its really slow when you post or just moving around. Seems like The flag and wheels next to my name aren't aligned properly. Font is weird...

Also, IB owns vBulletin so we should have EVERY emoticon possible. I frequent many other forums using vb that have 10 or 20x more. We are limited to like 10 smilies??

hook a brotha up!

it's not just font size. the size is probably OK. Arial font tends to shmush the letters together. I think something like verdana would be a better choice.

same post in verdana:

Lightbulb issues

I think there are a few defaults that regular users expect that are off by default and should be flipped on:
  • Private Messaging
  • Advanced Editor
  • Inline image viewing

In addition, even though I have images set to display, attached images are not showing up in line for me.

I also had the issue where it was slow to post last night. Otherwise, the speed has seemed fine to me (100mb connection now and 1.5mb last night).

[this post posted quickly]

Change can be painful, but I think overall it will be better once people get used to it.

To others that look at this post, you may want to pull down "Quick Links" from the menu across the top, select "Edit Options" and review each of the items.

Not trying to get sarcastic, but it would not let me post just 1 line, error said the msg was 2 short.

Font Size
Inline image viewing (could be an option...)
...
I can't seem to find the good old page with my "recent messages" in order to check for responses etc. Any suggestions?

...I guess "subscribing" to each thread I post in is one way to do it...(just figured this out). Any easier way?

The color scheme is giving me a headache.
I don't know what it is, I think its the very slight contrast between the white background with the topic in it, and the "slightly" off white background.
And the slightly more offwhite bars between post.

After about a hour on here, my eyes hurt.

I used to be able to tell when I returned to a thread if someone posted something new because that thread would no longer be "Highlighted" as when I left it last. It saves going back through the whole threadto see if there was a new post.
