You guys should put the little lighthouse and the "HOT" symbols by the threads, i was able to locate certain threads that way, and made it much easier.

Also, the old forum had the little buttons on the corners of each post, that said like PM, www, IM, etc.

and on the top corner it said quote, reply, etc. This was much better since the buttons had the words written out on them.

And i liked havin the amount of people logged on at the top of the page, i always liked lookin at it.

and the page numbers at the bottom of the page were much better when they were nice, big separated numbers not tiny little ones in boxes like they are now.

also, it was better when the background for people's names were all in white, much easier to read.

The "online" of "offline" for users isnt visible anymore, this was good cause it would let me know wether they would answer their PMs or not.

Also, the ads in people's post are a pain, take those off.

The big red banner that ya used to have at the top telling you that you werent logged in was helpful, since it would remind me to log in.

The symbols for the boating forum, electronics forum, etc are gone,

Basically, the old THT was cool, but you guys have some new features here that I like, but there are certainly things that ya need to change. If you can get the old THT "look"/format with the new features in there that would be killer.

When does it go away?? I don't want to have those things pile up everytime I have to remove a thread

also, when you quote a post, the quote is in italics, which can make it hard to read. If it was in standard letters that would help quite a bit.

Also, in the old THT, my quick reply included all my smileys, and full text editing without having to click on "post reply"

Now, to get full text editing and simleys, i have to click on post reply, which can be a pain.

This site is worthless it's so slow. Ruined a really good site and I can't imagine the sponsors hanging around. Why not just email everyone when you get it operational? I outta here.

EVERY response/reply I send requires a Refresh. Any PM I send requires a refresh to take.

What am I doing...or what needs fixing?

Speed is fine for me. White text pane is much better, thanks.

Italic text is nearly impossible to read. Maybe use a different font?

I would like to have back that feature the would send you to the last page directly when you clicked on a thread title... Right now is sending you to the first post, and i find myself reading the same thing over and over until I realize and have to jump to the last page....

I just noticed after posting on the 2s to 4s thread, that the time stamp is all messed up.. it was something like 859 AM and the time stamp was 1:59 PM.

Also I would appreciate if you have any feature to automatically flush annoying users like FloridaDan.... just kidding on the last one....
but seriously now... can you do that????

On the "last post" column, next to the users name that posted last is an arrow. Clicking on the arrow brings you to the last post in the thread.

The time stamp is most likely caused by the setting in your CP being different from your actual time zone.

Please click on "User CP" and check your time zone setting.

The "Hot" symbol still exists in a different format. From a forums main page in the lower left corner you will see an explanation of the icons.

If you click on a users name that made a post, you will get a drop down which includes an option to PM and e-mail them.

Mod 2/Anybuddy

Re. the old "Search my Threads" function, is there any way to duplicate that now, except for the thread subscription method? That works, but has some issues. Thanks.

You can still do what you want. There are several ways, but what I do is just enter my text in the "quick reply" box but instead of posting it, hit the "go advanced" button. That transfers your typed text to the box that allow what you called "full editing" and also shows the Smileys. If you want to drop in Smileys or tags while you type, just hit the "go advanced" button before typing. Also, as you have probably found out, when you "quote", you are taken right to the "advanced" or full editor box.

The "alert" button seems to be missing. It comes in handy for letting the admins know when we have been spammed.

The alert button is now called "report post" and it's that little triangle with the ! on the left of the post.

Quoted threads are no longer in italics
