What type of paint and preperation needed to repaint bracket. Mine is starting to flake apart. Thank you for your replies.

Sandblast it, epoxy primer [545 Awlgrip], paint Awlgrip.
The sandblasting will etch the alum very well and still be fairly smooth. 545 Awlgrip is a epoxy primer surfacer.

What Kevin said. They also sent me matching paint for mine. One suggestion....if you have any metal to bracket contact, place a teflon or similar washer there. Thats where mine started corroding first.

I agree with WC266. A nylon washer between the stainless fastner and the alum bracket. Maybe some Tuf-Gel on the bolt threads too.
