Do you really have an MR child or are you just saying that to try to get support?
Not in a position to tell you what to do, but please, let's not go there. Let it go. Comments about a man's family are off limits. Not relevant to the thread.

Thanks.
Agreed.

I don't get it. If I had purchased these motors based on pics and a verbal said condition and they failed to be in the said condition, I would have stopped right there. I certainly wouldn't have proceeded any further without attempting to contact seller and get full refund or renegotiate difference to offset costs of reconditioning. I may lose some labor and maybe some shipping charges but thats the price you pay sometimes for taking chances.

Now if I had attempted to renegotiate and that failed, I probably would keep the crates too. Thats a chance that the seller makes. But that doesn't look like the same case here. By doing work on the motors without contacting the seller first, that finalized the deal. Once the motors were opened up, that to me constitutes acceptance and the crates should be sent back as promised. But hey, I'm not a lawyer.

Only the buyer and seller know the hull truth of exactly what transpired. Maybe there was some miscommunication and false assumptions made, but based on what testimony has been given on this thread, the crates belong to the seller. But that probably won't happen due to spite, egos, and attitudes. Just my .02

I would like to know what page you claim I was drunk on too, as I am never drunk. This is just another "fact" that someone made up to discredit me and my company. BRP made a comment that he knew for a "fact" that I had lost law suits. I have had only 3 brought against me in the 35 years I have been in business and have not lost one. All the bad press that seems to be in question, is from a customer in WA who didn't know what he was talking about concerning his motor as was proved when he tried to sue me. I felt bad and refunded him his money, but apparently that wasn't enough to satisfy him. He decided to dedicate his life to "bringing me down". To add fuel to the fire, the posts here are from people who don't know the facts as to what really happened and have decided to become judge and jury due to their boredrum or who know what other agendas. One person posting here, I know is a dealer who lost a "new" motor sale and has a grudge. I do my best to make our customers happy by buying the best machinery in the business and making sure my techs get it right, but that said, mistakes happen. ( As with all Outboard companies). When that happens, we do our best to fix the problems, and 99% of our customers are "happy campers." It is really a shame that faceless people can slander some one on the internet. Sorta cowardly to say the least. I'm not saying I'm always right in the decisions I make, but they are my decisions to make, not faceless fisherman who know nothing about the real situation. As far as the crates are concerned, the seller lied to me, and caused me a lot of money. Those of you who think you know how much I made, really have no clue. ( I'm not selling medical supplies.) Buying back the motors was not an option. I had already spent too much money on them. Anyway, I will always have my faithful dealers, who personally know me and the quality product I try hard to produce to keep me in business. It is too bad that this forum has turned into a "National Enquirer". PS: For the record, my daughter really is handicapped and the post was extreemly offensive and never should have been put on there to begin with and then it wouldn't have had to have been deleated. I never put anything in any of my posts that were derogitory towards any group of people, so don't put me in the same boat as Greg B. (by the way, he was told to and what about those who thought it was funny?)

Yes, but if you had a clue and could actually fix a motor, wouldn't they be happy BOATERS

Well......that's got to be good for at least another 20k hits.

This is getting to depressing for me to follow. I'll let you "talking heads" take it from here.

Propbender: If you ever happen to resolve this and feel charitable, PM me and I'll give you my address. I want a $50 gift card for Hooters so I can brush up on my panty sniffing.

Adios amigos y amigas

Not a bad post A1. It would have been better to post it 18 pages ago. Don't know who is right or wrong, but you did do a very poor job of presenting your case.

What have you ever bought from us or who do you personally know that has bought from us that doesn't have an alterior motive to discredit us.

The gentleman posting for A1/Balckbird last night was Mike Sr. and he had too much to drink. His posts became more belligerant as the hours wore on. I was able to exchange email with him last night and advised him to walk away from the keyboard and he requested I call him this morning. I called this morning and spoke to his son, but Mike Sr. was not in the office and I'm assuming he was still nursing a bad hangover. I'm not sure who calls the shots at A1/Blackbird but Mike Sr commited suicide with the keyboard last night and I'm sure everyone is now paying for his poor judgement.

The local outboard dealer around here printed a copy of this thread and tacked it up on his showroom bulletin board as a reason to have you motors serviced by a local trusted shop and I'm sure he's not the only one that monitored this thread and did the same.

D-

Hey Mike - this guy sounds like he is on your side and a friend.
Is he lying?

Please tell us know

Regardless of the situation, Id say based on the fact that you ve refused to return the mans property, the crates, makes you a thief. Just based on that I would never do business with you.

I have no clue what he is talking about. It is possible he called and talked to my son, but I wasn't drunk. He spun something the way he wanted it to be spun. I am not good at defending myself to people when I feel I shouldn't have to and I have been extreemly fed up with this whole deal. Telling people that I was drunk or was having a hang over, is not being on my side.

who cares if he was drinking or not? I for one believe him if he says he was not. I think he was not because nothing has changed. No one really knows for sure. Maybe he had some MARY JANE?

Why did your name change from A1outboard to 1outboard. Are you the same person posting under 2 names?

and by the way, I never lied to you. I sold you 2 running 2002 225 Mercury Optimax engines with about 800 hours, and good compression. They were also still under factory warranty.

Maybe someone at your shop forgot to hook up the oil when they ran them b/c the engines ran excellent on my boat the day I shipped them to you?

It appears from reading other customers opinions of your companys that I am not the only person or company you have taken advantage of. Heck, I even got a PM from a guy that said you screwed him out of $700 dollars in a similar manner back in 1983.

The only reason I am continuing to post on this issue is b/c you are trying to hurt my reputation by calling me a liar. I do not appreciate it.
