I see a lot of boat names in my business. One of my favorites so far- "A Salt Weapon". Another name quickly became my favorite when we sat down to sign the loan docs. When his lovely wife joined us, I quickly understood where the name "DD" came from.

If you have a center console "Facial Spray." My wife's name is Janet so our boat is approriately named JANET TAIL YA. But its her name followed by a Whale tail in the shape of Y followed by an A. Gets a lot of laughs and smirks of dismay. But its remembered everyway we go.

thinking of naming my new boat "2 Hour Buffer..." as in I am always late coming home so I made an agreement with my wife that whatever time I say I will be home, I get a 2 hour buffer before she can get mad..

1st boat I ran charters from was named Miss Guided. The next had little thought as named Miss Guided II. Now with the smallest boat I ever owned (McKee Craft 172 Backwater) and not yet named. If hurricane Irene hits as the current model suggests as a cat 3 I just may name her 'Missing'. If she is still here next week something else will be used.

I couldnt agree more.. I see boats all the time with "Knot Guilty", "Knot at fault" etc etc

It just seems so cheesy LOL

I feel the same way about "Reel _______".... It's waaay overplayed, but to each his own.

Although, I did threaten my wife to name our boat "Reel Original"...
