I have a buddy that had an un-named boat for months and never had issues. He decided he was going to name his boat " Aqua-holic" and now he can't put the boat in the water without marine patrol pulling them over for a safety inspection.

Just before a trip across the Lake Okeechobee waterway my brother lost a Roshambo and had to name his boat:

“S.S. Angela Lansbury”

Still makes me laugh thinking about all the lock masters responding to the S.S. Angela Lansbury on VHF

Most boat names are pretty gay. Same as the guy with the loud motorcycle or exhaust pipe that just needs attention. The worst is anything with Reel or Knotty or Nauti. Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings.

I have to add "Bella" to that list. Tired of it.

I have to agree. Why name a boat anyway? Especially anything less than 40'.

Real clever sailboat from Marblehead Ma; Passing Wind, and their little 8' tender was Passing Gas.

My boat is Effinay and our little tender is Fog Off!

I saw a 22+ foot Angler CC, the guy put a "D" infront of it so it spelled DAngler. He painted Big above the letters of his Jonhson outboard motor. So it was a Dangler with a Big Johnson hanging off boat. This is for real, I still laugh about it as Im typing this. Saw it a few times in Pasco County

Along with the Reel, Nauti, and the other over-used play on words, I'm getting tired of all the 4/Four Plays out there....
