Default Contender Under the Seat Storage

I am trying to organize the area underneath the helm seat so that sprays, wallets etc stay organized. Anyone have good ideas on dividing the under the seat storage area? If I use starboard, I would have to use screws, which I want to avoid. Picture for reference (NOT MY BOAT). Thanks in advance.

Do you have that extra storage under and behind it?
I say that because there is a guy that sells the shell that goes under the seat that is longer and has dividers.

I have that same style on my SeaVee and on my new Intrepid I'm restoring. I use a Birdsall leaning post. I put a beach towel in there fold it up and I just lay everything in there that way it doesn't go moving around and bunched up and stays quiet too.

i have a Frank Snell tackle station underneath the leaning post so i have plenty of storage. just need to install some dividers or something else within the storage space under the seat.

Genius b622r ! I have some 1/4 starboard and sealant that I could do just that with. I was thinking about welding an aluminum tray for mine but I like this much better. 4200 or lifeseal should do the trick after I cut the dividers.

Mine always looked like that, except all mine was leader spools and gloves. the tackle storage under the seat was organized though. You can only get so pretty in such a small space. Phones go up by the controls, ya gotta be ready for snapchat

Your not using them for strength I would get some 1/4" starboard and 5200 them into place. Flame treat the edges of the starboard and you should have no issues. If you want a semi permanent solution silicone or 4200.

Here’s what I ended up doing on my previous contender, primary goal was tackle storage, the middle section was a bit of a catch all.

No adhesive, fastened by screws internally and to the shell itself.

What size plano boxes are you using that fit in there vertically?

Paint was Petit Easypoxy Gloss marine paint.
I cut out carboard insert until it fit perfectly. Then used it as a template to cut starboard leaving a little bit of margin to sand off.
