Default R242 Explorer vs. 263FS

Looking at a Robalo 242 Explorer and a 263FS, the FS is 2 feet longer, looks a lot more comfortable, but weighs a thousand pounds lighter. Does anyone have experience with either that could comment on ride and overall quality?

I believe Robalo may still use wood in their construction which makes for a heavier boat. Key West is an all composite build, so it's lighter weight. With a similar deadrise, I'd say the extra 2' would more than offset the weight difference from a ride perspective, as you have more hull in the water to span the chop. I only see a #400 difference between the two. Everyone that I know that owns a Key West speaks very highly of them. I don't personally know anyone that owns a Robalo. May come down to layout, engine options, and dealer support.
