Default Thoughts on a Pioneer 180?

So I am down to looking at a Pioneer 180 with a Yamaha VMax 115 on the back. Trailer and Ttop. Any positives or negatives about the boat from owners? Anyone explain the VMax as opposed to the regular 115? Just more RPMs, correct?

Great and well made boat! I like Pioneer a lot and the 180 is a flexible boat that can do many things well.
Similarly, I like the Scout 175 Sportfish layout perhaps even more. The quality of both boats is excellent
can’t go wrong with Pioneer

Awesome boats with some of the best, if not the best, factory support in the business. Despite wanting to move up in size, I haven't been able to bring myself to sell mine.

No experience with the 180, but I love my Bay Sport. As said above, well made & terrific customer support if you need it, The GM answered my one question about the fish box drain and made sure I was satisfied by following up without prompting. The V-Max should give you more mid range torque, if you like that sort of thing

Can’t answer your specific questions but I love my 202SF. Great boats, great company.

Fished a friends in 3fters last Saturday am. Boat did fine. 115 zuk. Easy to handle around the dock and load on the trailer. Ran around 40 all out and cruised 20 25. Got beat up in the ocean but most boats that size will. Livewell is a bit on the small side. Had a t top which helped with rod storage when running around. 9 inch in the fash and the steering wheel were a bit low for my liking and I'm not a very tall guy 511

Great boat with excellent factory support. I have a 175 Baysport.
