I was on Instagram last night (Sunday) they had posted a video. Stating new model Debuts this Monday morning? Maybe it was an old post but It had Quad 450 Mercs.

Agree. High quality 27’ - 30’ cats are tough to find. Prowler said that their 28 was on indefinite hold due to how busy they are. Calcutta went from 26 to 32. Freeman will not build the 29. Invincible has nothing under 33. It’s a dead spot.

I guess there is not as much profit margin in them. IMO, they should at least offer another manufacturer to use their molds for a fee since they don't want to build them.

Cayo 26 cat for $250k - plenty of margin in these things.

For me, if I'm looking for a near-shore cat - I'm looking at 26' (ish) and if I'm leaning more toward offshore I'll go 32' +. Kind of makes sense that something in between might be subpar doing either (cost aside).

yes and no. A 35’ boat has insanely more margin for only a slight increase in build costs. For example, a 28’ boat takes up almost the same amount of space and raw materials as a 35’ boat. When the demand for the 35 is insatiable, you don’t build 28s

That’s pretty much what I figured. I can’t fit a 35 in my boat house. I have a 26 and want something bigger. 30’ would be perfect and is pretty much the physical size limit I can keep under cover. The Freeman 29 is the exact boat I want.
