Anyone have a trolling motor on an offshore center console???
#1

Quick question. I am seriously considering putting a trolling motor on my 28 foot Privateer center console.. This is a heavy, deep V center console boat (12,000 pounds on trailer with 1/2 fuel). I like the idea of not pulling the anchor anymore when making a few drops to the bottom. I am a bit concerned about holding power, etc. Anyone here done this yet? I am interested in hearing about any experiences with a similar setup/opinions on Rhodan vs Minn Kota vs Motorguide. I appreciate it and hope everyone is staying safe and doing well...

Total game changer, pull up, find spot, stay right on top of it, move in 5 ft increments, Ameracat 27, probably half your weight, Rhodan seems to be popular make, even fish inlet with current....holds spot....

We fished an 84" Rhodan for about a year and after having it pull up in some 2-3' seas, ordered and just installed a 96" version.
Fishing the Rhodan the year we were out there was a breeze. Our boat is almost 8k on the trailer, about 6500 in the ewater...and the Rhodan would move it along at 2.5-3 mph. I'm sure it would work fine on your rig.

I think it’s going to be harder to find one in stock than someone that has one.

Game changer is an understatement. It's a gift from the Gods. Follow my thread for the setup

I sold my 84 and got the 96 in last month. Cant wait to get the cover off and re-mounted....used it a LOT last year. I can't say exactly how many hours but multiple trips inshore and offshore as well.
