Default How much for all the add-on's?

Just a ball park estimate, if you buy a new center console in the 27-31 ft range, how much would all of the electronics etc. add up to?

Twin Garmins or Simrad
Transducer(s)
Radar
Auto Pilot
Two radios
Stereo
Underwater lighting
Outriggers

Obviously a lot depends on what the quality etc. but I'm talking just a ball park typical offshore fishing setup.

10-20 grand?

too many variables

just the electronics? installation? i am guessing location will play a role too.

why not call your local installer and get a quote?

depends on what size you want to go on the screens.. You can spend as much as you want to. there is a vast array of radars available as well that vary quite a bit in price and power. autopilot is around about 4 grand ballpark. If you are planning on running a thru hull as well as a transom transducer plan on 17-1800 dollars.

I woud recommend going one of the websites (West Marine, Defender, etc.) and putting together a rough package of what you want. I say this because you can spend $12K for 24" MFD, or buy an MFD/Radar combo for $2K.

All of that appears to be around $20K in equipment IMO.....install could be another $10K easy.

Heck, i know people with $20k in just the stereo system.

Im going to go with $12k, $15K if you want to upgrade to nicer stuff and up to $20k if you go crazy.

I did fusion radio with dvd 2 amps a sub and 6 speakers. 2 Garmin 8612’s fantom 24 radar B265lm thru hull and a complete Garmin autopilot. I did install myself. It was right at 18k for the parts.

Minimum 25k if installed by boat builder (assuming minimum 12" MFD's). They charge a bit more for installation, but the install (particularly Radar and Autopilot) will likely be cleaner being done during construction. My last boat I installed electronics after delivery (pain in the ass). With my current build everything is being done at the factory. In the grand scheme of the boat cost it is worth it (IMO).

Just did it. $40K all in including FLIR. Lots of variables as has been said. Just with outriggers you can spend $1200 to $9000. So if budget is a concern start with a priority list. Buying the gear is easy, install is the tricky part. Do your research, IMO there is 2 options; cheap or correct.

More like this (plus outrigger poles, N2K network, install, etc). You should be able to negotiate a package deal for better pricing. I just went down this road.

Thanks all. That's about what I was thinking and of course depends on how much I want to upgrade obviously. Still a ways down the road but always nice to plan....
