Default 2020 minn kota riptide Ulterra 36v/112/72"

How reliable are these riptide Ulterra regarding auto stow/deply/trim ?

Thanks

My trim works great, I think once its set to your boat you don't mess with it allot. I have broken the stow motor once and its was shipped to me by minn kota no questions asked.

If you have a local minn kota service center go in and ask them that question. Mine broke 4 times within the first two years so I swapped it out for a Terrova. Minn kota actual made the switch at no charge to me so a big thumbs up to their customer service. My service center told me that it happens all the time to these motors.

I rarely have heard of anyone who has owned any of the self deploy/stow trolling motors that have not had issues with that feature sooner or later. I truly wish they were more dependable, I would definitely make one my next trolling motor purchase if they were. I opted for the Terrova on my new Sea Pro 239 a couple years ago. The convenience would be nice but the aggravation is not worth it IMO.

early generations had some issues, current models have had the bugs worked out!

biggest issue is not unplugging the TM when charging the batteries!

I have had two gen 2 ulterra's and love them. No issues from either one of mine. I just ordered my 3rd one this week.

Bought mine last summer (2019) and have had zero issues. Its a god send fishing with my young boys near rocks and reefs. If it broke I would buy another.
