Lenco tabs won't shut off

I have a 7yearold key west 239 never had a tab issue until now. They work fine when the engine is running, all good. When I shut off the engine, they auto-retract like usual, all good. But then they stay powered on (red lights on indicator switch) and every few seconds they kick on for a second or two... Even after I've pulled the key. Randomly, both tabs take turns trying to pull the tabs up (since they don't go down). I've visually checked and both are fully up/retracted at this point. This deviant behaviour continues until I shut off the battery.

I had my lencos do the same thing it turned out to be the battery. Mine was getting weak and for some reason made the tabs act goofy i would undo the connections and re plug them to start with and see if that helps. Once I had my new battery installed and re did the connections all was good
