Congrats. Great looking boat and I'd say you got a very good deal. I owned a 2006 238 CC and was a great boat for us. Enjoy!

HI all,
Im new to the forum and boats.
A Friend and I are looking to jointly purchase this boat here in Texas coast. This will be our first boat.
I see here on this threat few months ago the OP bought it for 54k. We have been quoted 72K for pretty much same boat!!
What am I missing? Are we being had?
IS the price that different in Texas vs NC?

Haven't bought it yet, but were almost going to pay downpayment yesterday, and then I saw this forum at night.

Please guide.

What options does yours have? Those can add up fast.

Ill compare with the OP list :
1. No trailer: WE HAVE
2. 200HP Suzuki: SAME
3. Hard Top: SAME
4. Jack Plate: SAME
5. Trim Tabs: SAME
6. 10 Ft Power Pole : ONE POWER POLE
7. Minn Kota 36V Terrova Ipilot trolling motor: SAME
8. Full Bow Cushion (wife wanted it, I am sure we will not use it) Cost me 500.00: DO NOT HAVE
9. Spray/Wind shield for center console: SAME
10. Full Boat Cover: DO NOT HAVE
11. Extra Bench Seat Stern: DO NOT HAVE
12. Bow seating: SAME
13. Tried out additional live well in the bow: DO NOT HAVE
14. Two additional SS pole holders: DO NOT HAVE
15. Paint (Navy blue HardTop and Hull): NO PAINT, WHITE BASE

SO I see the difference:
We have trailer

But we don't have many things:
We don't have the extra stern seats, nor the 2 bow sidelining cushions or rest.
No boat cover
No extra ss holders.
NO additional live well,
NO paint.
I see the OP has nice gray antislip on the storage compartments, we don't have it either.

I see we apparently don't have a lot of extra frills the OP has and the price is way higher.

I am. Not sure why the price difference. But if you PM me I will give you my sales guy. He has sold boats to people in Florida and Texas. I am not affiliated and I have no interest in the sales/purchase.

Default Question

Hey, you said it took forever for your boat to come in. Just out of curiosity how long did it take for it to be ready for pickup? It’s a good looking boat! Appreciate it.

It took a little over 2 months to take delivery. Did you order one? Did you get it from Scott?

I did order one back in March but it was before I came across your post, so I ordered from cove2coast in Columbia. They really haven’t gave me much info about when it should be ready or anything. Hopefully it will be here soon. Thanks for the response.

I’m in the upstate of South Carolina on lake hartwell. So Mostly there but I’ll also be taking it multiple times a year down off the coast near garden city, edisto, and little river.

That sounds like a great price - especially with all those options! I completely understand about post purchase price anxiety.

Purchased a new 2014 Sea Hunt bx 22 with 200 yamaha, t top & trailer for $45 out the door. The Yamaha engine maint. cost surprised me, but you can do it yourself to save money and still stay under warranty. Not sure about Suzuki.

Good luck with your boat! Hope you got the VHF by now - an easy do it yourself. Also monitor 16 whenever you run the boat.
